“Car manufacturers and dealerships are expected to spend almost 20 percent more (on advertising) this year over last year — a total of $6.15 billion. By 2018, that number is expected to jump to $10.36 billion. That means automotive will be the second largest digital ad spender in the nation, behind retail. Mobile advertising will also jump, to as much as 35 percent of all digital spending.”-Automotive News July 2014
